When you are open to guidance, everything that is right for you will find you at the most divine time. I love it when you hear or see something intended just for you or when a thought appears in your mind and you realise it’s no coincidence – you know that it was divinely placed there and you follow it wholeheartedly.
Several weeks ago, I was guided to two of Sara Landon’s amazing books: “The 11 Spiritual Roles of the Soul: A Channeled Guide to Discovering Your Life’s Purpose” and “The Wisdom of the Council”. While listening to the latter one, I was drawn to a sentence about judgment. While I've seen similar statements before, this time I was ready to hear and truly understand the message.
When you think about it, practically everything that comes from the place of fear is some sort of judgment – judgment of the self, judgement of the other person or a situation. Hearing this really resonated with me.
Since that moment I have become more aware of my own judgmental thoughts. I realise even more that this kind of thinking is not loving to me and I am adamant to change it. Everything in my life has been divinely put there for me, for my growth and evolution; I decided to come here to this life for specific reasons and everything in my life, all the challenges are there to help me achieve what I came here to accomplish.
Why would I judge myself, judge another person or judge a situation? I would only do that if I was unhappy with something, if I wanted a different outcome, out of lack of love and the need to control; simply because I do not trust.
We all judge ourselves all the time for anything and everything. Most of us do it out of habit never properly realising how much we criticise ourselves every day. Even those that do their best to change, to be more loving and accepting, spend far too much time bashing themselves for not making enough progress and for having too many unwanted thoughts or feelings. Worrying about not doing enough or making mistakes is not loving to ourselves and will negatively impact anything that we are trying to achieve.
Rather than judging yourself, simply be an observer and learn from your mistakes with all the love and understanding towards yourself and the process.
We often look at others and think we know better than them what their lives should be like, what they should think or how they should act. We try to change them to meet our expectations, and feel frustrated when they don't. What gives us the right to decide for others? They are not victims and they do not need to be saved. Their soul chose their costume, circumstances and experiences in this lifetime for a reason. Who are we to judge that? Just like us they are in a perfect place of their own chosen journey.
Why do we spend so much time focusing on them and their lives instead of taking care of our own energy? Our role is not to judge another but to decide who we want to be and how we want to live our lives.
What about situations? Life presents us with numerous challenges, and ultimately, it's our perspective that determines whether we view them as obstacles or possibilities.
Are we powerful creators of our lives or are we victims? Only we can answer that question for ourselves and determine whether our lives are filled with love, joy, abundance and trust or fear, worry, judgment and lack.
It is fascinating to notice our reactions when we catch ourselves acting in the same way we did in the past. It just happened to me today. You start feeling guilty, judging yourself for making the same mistake again which only makes matters worse. Not only you acted in undesirable way but now you are prolonging it and treating yourself unkindly changing your energy even further.
There are two vital steps in this process – first catching unwanted thoughts, feelings and actions, and then making sure we do not judge ourselves for them.
I am not saying that you should be forever free of judgment. No. We came here to this life as human beings to be able to feel everything. It is ok to feel all emotions. The mastery lies in not losing yourself in anything that doesn’t serve you. You can enjoy everything when you know that you are always divinely guided, completely loved and protected and when you trust that everything that happens in your life is for you and not against you. It couldn’t really be any other way. Please think about it for a moment – Source, pure, unconditional love is in everything and everybody including you, me, others and every situation there is. Everything is love. You are not punished for anything. You are never blamed or judged. Not by Source. Others may judge you, but usually you are your own harshest critic.
What do you want your life to look like? Will you choose happiness or continue judging yourself, others, and your life? The decision is always yours.
Will you choose to love yourself unconditionally? That one decision will change your life for the better in so many extraordinary ways. There will undoubtedly be mistakes done, that is unavoidable, however, if you start every day reminding yourself of your intention and then throughout the day do your very best to love yourself no matter what, your life will start to become magical, filled with love, ease, joy and freedom. Why don’t you give it a try? There isn’t much that you can lose, but there is so much more that you can gain π
